Instructions:
We use the Logmein.com services to remotely log into your computer and fix your technical support issue as if we were physically sitting at your computer. Before we can log into your computer, you will need to setup an account with Logmein.com. Unfortunately, approximately 70% of users do not follow these simple directions and therefore don't get help. They commonly don't send us their accurate login information (step 5 below). If you do not follow ALL 6 steps below then we simply cannot help you. Please take time to complete ALL the steps.
FOLLOW ALL THE 6 STEPS BELOW:
- Open Internet Explorer (this process works much better in Internet Explorer than other browsers) and go to https://secure.logmein.com/products/pro/register.asp
- Input your email address and a password and follow the prompts to download and install the Logmein software.
- During the installation process you MIGHT be asked to input a Computer Access Code. Please enter a code of your choice and write it down.
- Verify your account. You must verify that you can login to your account before we will attempt to connect to your computer. If you can't login, then we won't be able to login either. To verify your account, log into your account at www.logmein.com with your Logmein username and password. Find your computer under "My Computers" and click it (if your computer isn't listed then click "add computer" and follow the prompts to add your computer to your account). Next, a screen will appear prompting you to enter a username and password OR an access code. Enter the requested information. If you enter the correct information and advance to a new screen then you have successfully verified your account.
- Send us your login information: Using the form below,send us the EXACT information you used to log into your account in item 4 above. The information we need is:
- Logmein username (you made this in step 2 above - it is an email address)
- Logmein password (you made this in step 2 above)
- Windows username (If you do not have a username then skip this item and see item E below)
- Windows password (If you do not have a password then skip this item and see item E below)
- Computer Access Code: If you do NOT have a Windows username and password then you will send us the Computer Access Code you made in step 4
- Leave Your Computer On: Leave your computer on. Don't let it sleep or hibernate. We will log into your computer as soon as we can. You do not need to be present when we log in; however, we prefer you to be there if we need to ask you a question. Please clear all inappropriate material from your screen. We will immediately logout of a computer with inappropriate visual content.
During the installation process you MIGHT be asked to input a Computer Access Code. Please enter a code of your choice and write it down.
